Brookfield R-III School District Moves to the Cloud
Beginning July 1, 2012, Brookfield R-III School District will make the move to the cloud in order to increase efficiencies and leverage new capabilities with virtualization. The district selected k12itc’s K12 CloudRack and managed technology services to provide technology infrastructure. K12 CloudRacks include industry-leading networking, servers and storage to deliver a reliable virtualization environment and an aggressive price.
In addition to cloud-based backup services, k12itc will host and maintain critical software components such as the district’s student information system, financial system, and web filter. To tie everything together, k12itc will transition Brookfield R-III School District from a Novell-based network to a Microsoft Active Directory network. Utilizing products such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 and Citrix XenDesktop, k12itc will provide network capabilities in an efficient, virtual computing environment. With k12itc, Brookfield R-III School District will significant enhance technology service to all stakeholders.
